LifePoints® Funds Target Date Series

The Target Date Series is a series of highly diversified portfolios designed to simplify the asset allocation process for retirement plan participants over time. The date in each fund name represents the approximate retirement year. As a fund's target retirement year approaches, the allocation to underlying funds shifts to a more conservative mix of bonds and stocks. The principal value of the fund is not guaranteed at the target date or any other time.
Target Date Series funds are available to plan participants only through employee benefit and employer sponsored plans.
Target date strategy funds
Each of the nine target date strategy funds seeks to provide capital growth and income consistent with its current asset allocation which will change over time, automatically increasing its allocation to bonds funds. For example, the 2050 Strategy Fund begins with an asset allocation of 90% invested in stock funds and 10% invested in bond funds. Over time the stock allocation decreases while the bond investment increases. In the year 2050, the 2050 Strategy Fund will have a fixed allocation of 32% stock funds and 68% bond funds.
In Retirement Fund
The In Retirement Fund is intended for investors who are no longer working, and seeks to provide income and capital growth. In this way, you can still take advantage of the potential returns available through stocks while minimizing risk with bonds. This fund maintains a fixed asset allocation of 32% stock funds and 68% bonds funds.
